Terms of Service
Effective Date: Feburary 22, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you," or "your") and Chapter OS ("Chapter OS," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company registered in the State of Georgia, United States. By accessing or using Chapter OS, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Description of Services
Chapter OS is a multi-tenant SaaS platform for entrepreneur peer-group chapters. Each subscription provides one isolated chapter workspace with four modules:
  • Forum OS — forum management, monthly meetings, member onboarding and placement, health campaigns, surveys, and reports.
  • Membership OS — prospective member CRM, committee tasks, meetings, documents, workflows, and board tracker.
  • Member Engagement OS — engagement scoring, events and QR check-in, watch-lists, latest cohort and buddies, membership map, and moderator check-ins.
  • Trifecta OS — the cross-module leadership layer; today the chapter's annual budget allocation and rollup.
The specific features available to your chapter depend on the pricing tier you have subscribed to, as outlined on our Pricing page. Features are subject to change with prior notice to active subscribers.
Account Registration and Access
  1. Account Creation: To use Chapter OS, your chapter must have an active subscription purchased via Stripe Payment Links on forumos.co. Upon payment, your chapter is provisioned automatically — you receive an activation email with a 30-day link to set your password and choose your chapter's web address. No sales call is required.
  2. Account Credentials: Login is email + password (minimum 8 characters). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Forgot-password sends a 15-minute reset link and always shows the same message whether or not the address exists. There is no MFA or SSO.
  3. Account Responsibility: You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your chapter account, including actions taken by any user you have granted access to. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
  4. One Login, Many Chapters: A person has a single Chapter OS login (unique email). They may belong to several chapters at once. After signing in, they land on a workspace picker showing their chapters.
Payment and Billing
Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing to Chapter OS, you authorize us to charge your designated payment method. Purchase is via Stripe Payment Links — one per plan on the marketing site. Upon checkout (email, chapter name, card, address), your chapter is provisioned automatically.
Annual Billing: Chapter OS subscriptions are billed annually. Payment is due at the start of each billing period. There is no monthly billing option.
Failed Payments: If a payment fails, a warning banner appears in the product and Stripe retries on its retry schedule. If the subscription is cancelled, the chapter is locked behind a hold page — nothing is deleted, and full access returns the moment billing is back in good standing.
Refund Policy: All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to Chapter OS until the end of your current billing period.
Upgrades and Downgrades: You may upgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Chapter OS only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
  • Use Chapter OS in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized  access to any part of Forum OS  or its related systems.
  • Input, store, or transmit any data that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of Chapter OS or its related systems.
  • Use Chapter OS to transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or any form of malware.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of Chapter OS.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to Chapter OS to any third party without our prior written consent.
  • Use Chapter OS to store or process sensitive personal data beyond what is reasonably necessary for chapter management purposes.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of Chapter OS or its infrastructure.
Data Ownership and Privacy
Your Data: You retain full ownership of all data you input into Chapter OS, including chapter information, member profiles, forum data, meeting records, and all other content. Every chapter's data is isolated at the database level using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security on every chapter-owned table — isolation is enforced by the database itself, not by convention. Non-members receive a 'not found' response — Chapter OS never reveals that other chapters exist.
Our Use of Your Data: We use your data solely to provide and improve our Services as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. Sensitive survey answers (forum health responses) are flagged and never sent to AI models. Members' home addresses sit behind their own permission key, separate from general engagement statistics.
Data on Cancellation: Upon cancellation of your subscription, your chapter is locked behind a hold page but your data is preserved. Full access returns the moment payment is back in good standing. If you request permanent deletion, we will remove all your data from our systems within 30 days. Uploaded files are stored in private object storage, namespaced per chapter per environment, and purged wholesale on chapter deletion.
Privacy Policy: Your use of Chapter OS is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Intellectual Property
Chapter OS Intellectual Property: Chapter OS and all of its content, features, functionality, design, code, branding, and documentation are the exclusive property of Chapter OS and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Feedback: If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Chapter OS, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into our products.
Your Content: You grant Chapter OS a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display the data you input into the platform solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information shared during the course of using Chapter OS. This includes chapter data, member information, forum discussions, health survey results, and any proprietary business information.
Chapter OS will not disclose your chapter's confidential information to any third party except as required by law or as necessary to provide our Services (e.g. payment processing via Stripe, geocoding via OpenStreetMap). Every staff action is recorded to a durable audit table.
Service Availability
Uptime: We strive to maintain Chapter OS availability at all times; however, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Chat and notifications are delivered in real time via Server-Sent Events. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.
Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature or aspect of Chapter OS at any time with reasonable notice to subscribers. Per-chapter feature control (49 switches) allows the Chapter OS team to tailor features for any customer.
Support: Support is provided via email at marlon@forumos.co. There is no support portal, help centre, ticketing system, or chat widget. 'Contact support' appears only in error copy within the product.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify active chapter administrators via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of Chapter OS after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chapter OS LLC regarding your use of Chapter OS and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Keep Every Member Engaged
From engagement scoring and QR event check-in to the four automatic watch-lists that catch slipping members before they disengage — Member Engagement OS holds the board accountable to its annual plan.
